Good quality but..
The oil pastel is perfect to me from many aspects (ie. easy to use, nice color, strong pigmentation, etc).The texture of the pastel is hard enough that you don’t have to worry about breaking the pastels. Yet, because of the hardness, the pastel is difficult to be blended by knives at room temp (that’s the only down part I would say about this pastel).

I’m in love with the creaminess of these. They blend well; alone and mixed together with other colors and lay nicely over top of other colors without blending. Great price for such a nice array of colors. Super fun to play with! You’ll love them!

It is a wonderful set of oil pastels. Wide color range, smooth texture, high quality pigment make it a good option for coloring. It works well with different types of paper (especially with the white and smooth sheets). Perfect for shading and background coloring. Highly recommend!

Highly impressed but how lightfast are they?
First, i’m using oil pastels, and I wanted to do a base of a sunset or sunrise… This is easily accomplished, and i’m astonished.By the color payoff and blendability…. This is just a small sketch.I have a bigger picture.I would love to accomplish and just the background .. I can definitely see me using this for a finished product, but how light fast are they?Has anyone done any real testing? The blendability in the colors make this a valuable medium to work with, and the price is excellent….. This is something a real artist would sell their painting with? Will this fade after a few months?

Bad taste left on lips –
This is not water-soluble!!!! But pretty amazing.
My initial purchase of this product I was hoping for beautiful pastels that blended with water. So it was a little disappointing when I received it and I realized I didn’t read the label thoroughly. However, to those with a similar experience or who want to try these out and know how to use them. Here’s how I made them work.After several experiments, I discovered the easiest way to blend them to my liking is with a q-tip. It creates the softest blend and it almost looks even better than the water-solubles.Honestly such good pastels.Im really glad I got them even if it wasnt exactly what I was looking for. If you really put in the effort to work with it, you’ll be impressed with how high quality it is.Overall,10/10. I would buy again!

This set of 24 oil pastels have more vibrancy and better texture vs some pastels I’ve bought at Micheals for FAR more expensive. I think these are great to get for yourself or a young artist you know uses oil pastels. They blend beautifully, there are many colors, and I love working witht them. They’ve lasted me a very long time as well.
